The M16 MGMC (Multiple Gun Motor Carriage) was a self-propelled anti-aircraft weapon system equipped with four M2 Browning 50 (12.7mm) machine guns in an M45 Quadmount mounted on the bed of an M3 halfrack.

Because of its effectiveness against low-altitude aircraft and infantry, Allied soldiers called it the "meat chopper"

Its design dates back to 1941 and its first military action took place in the Philippines in 1941-42, then it served in North Africa. Later it was used in Europe, in Sicily and Italy, and in France after the landing in Normandy. In the Pacific theater of operations, he participated in the Saipan, Peleliu and Okinawa campaigns, among others.

It was used by both the American Army and the British and Commonwealth armies; it was even used by the red army in the eastern theater of operations.
