Perhaps the Jeep is the most famous vehicle of the WWII.

In 1941 the American army defined the need for a 4-wheel drive vehicle to transport soldiers to the battlefront on any terrain, in fact the word jeep comes from the acronym in English GP (General Purpose).

The first company to come up with a prototype was a small Pennsylvania company - Bantam. Based on this prototype, the companies Willys-Overlands Motors and Ford Motor Company presented their prototypes, which finally were chosen for production, citing the larger size of the companies and their greater production capacity.

The final model is the one we know; with the headlights integrated in the grille, flat bonnet, capacity for five soldiers, without doors or roof, although with a fabric hood.

It was used by all the allied armies on all battle fronts: in the forests and plains of Europe, in the African deserts and in the jungles of the Pacific.

In addition to transporting troops, it was also used as a field ambulance, weapons platform, command and communications vehicle, etc...

This kit features a version that includes a general cargo trailer with its stowage.
