Kubelwagen

The Kubelwagen or according to the official name: "Volkswagen type 82" was the most used off-road vehicle by the German army during the Second World War and together with the American Jeep they were the most iconic vehicles of this conflict.

Although the use of the Volkswagen beetle for military use was considered, in 1938 th OKH (Obertkommando des Heeres ) (Army High Command) commissioned Ferdinand Porsche to design a light troop transport vehicle and as a result the Kubelwagen emerged.

After some test model, in 1940 the mass production of the type 82 began, which ended at the end of the war . More than 50,000 units were built that participated in all theaters of operations.

The kit can be assembled with doors open or closed, hood up or down, even the rear hatch can be build open to see a detailed engine.
