Sd. KFz.1 Type 170 VK (Staff car)

The large German automobile companies began to adapt their civilian models to military needs to perform the Wehrmacht motorization process. This was the case of Mercedes-Benz, which adapted its well-known 170V model, lengthening the wheelbase and other modifications for military use, achieving the 170VK model, cataloged by the Wehrmacht as Sd.Kfz.1 (Sonderkraftfahrzeug 1 = (Special motor vehicle 1).
This model was widely used in the first campaigns of the WWII but it had some problems such as that its low height did not allow it to easily circulate on uneven terrain, so they were replaced by models specially designed for military needs such as the Kübelwagen and Schwinmmwagen.
This kit is from the “Easy assembly kits” series and consists of a reduced number of parts that are easily assembled achieving a great result. The kit contains decals and glass but does not contain paint or glue.
